METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING TONER, TONER, DEVELOPER, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND PROCESS CARTRIDGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner having favorable powder fluidity and transfer property by small particle diameters and a sharp particle size distribution, as well as having excellent charging characteristics, heat-resistant storage property, low temperature fixability and hot offset resistance. SOLUTION: The toner contains at least a binder resin and a colorant and is obtained by forming particles in an aqueous medium in which resin fine particles are dispersed. The toner has a volume average particle diameter of from 3 to 8μm and a ratio (Dv/Dn) of the volume average particle diameter (Dv) to the number average particle diameter (Dn) of not more than 1.25; the particle diameter of the resin fine particles is from 45 to 55 nm; and the acid value of the dispersion liquid of the resin fine particles is from 45 to 55 mgKOH/g.
