PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve productivity by dividing a bonded substrate base material without damaging a film wiring board connected to respective terminal pars for outside connection of the bonded substrate base material. SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing the liquid crystal display device includes a mounting step of connecting end parts of FPCs 20 to a plurality of terminal parts 14 for outside connection to mount them, which is executed before a dividing step of dividing a bonded substrate base material A along division areas 37 for every seal member 12 to form a plurality of bonded substrates 15. In the mounting step, FPCs 20 are connected to the terminal parts 14 for outside connection so that front ends 21 of end parts of the FPCs 20 are turned toward division areas 37 opposite to the seal members 12 in areas 30 where respective bonded substrates 15 of the bonded substrate base material A are formed.
