PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery with long life and high reliability securing resistance to vibration shock, insulation, and airtightness, without utilizing compression stress of resin components. SOLUTION: Of the battery provided with a battery case with an opening and a lid plate insertion-coupling with the opening, a lid plate 7 is equipped with a part smaller than an inner dimension of the opening at a part fitted with the battery case 5. The lid plate 7 and the battery case 5 are adhered to each other as a thermoplastic material is arranged between the lid plate and the battery case, where a polarity of the battery case 5 is positive, and that of the lid plate 7 is negative, or a polarity of the battery case 5 is negative, and that of the lid plate 7 is positive.
