PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery pack including a secondary battery such as a lithium ion cell, the battery pack being configured such that a switch control means serving as a protection circuit of a secondary battery is simplified, the number of the parts is reduced, and a leakage-current detection circuit and a switch control circuit are simplified, which can prevent leakage current caused by liquid leakage, adhesive moisture, or others. SOLUTION: A protection circuit 4 of a battery pack 1 includes a battery-voltage monitoring circuit 9, semiconductor switches 7, 8, a thermistor 10 for monitoring temperature, and a leakage-current detection circuit 22. Terminals of the semiconductor switches 7, 8 are connected to output terminals of the battery-voltage monitoring circuit 9, respectively. The leakage-current detection circuit 22 is composed of the leakage-current detection electrode 23 and a transistor 24. The leakage-current detection circuit 22 is composed of a switch activated by leakage current, and the output terminal of the leakage-current detection circuit 22 is connected in parallel to the thermistor 10.
