PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for performing route guidance from the nearest station to a destination on a screen of a cellphone accurately and intelligibly in real time and at a low cost without using a signal from a GPS satellite. SOLUTION: This route guidance device registers map information to the destination beforehand in a telephone directory of the cellphone simultaneously with setting of the destination to guide a user to the destination, wherein a map for a pedestrian is acquired as the map information by Internet retrieval from a map information service organization (step S113) or a special site (step S123), and guidance is performed by a display of a traveling direction.
