PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress degradation of the driving position caused by the speed change of a speed change mechanism in a vehicular steering device having the speed change mechanism capable of performing the speed change in the axial movement of a steering means (a steering wheel). SOLUTION: A transmission shaft (including a steering main shaft 10) connects a steering wheel SH to turned wheels, and transmits the steering force to be input via the steering wheel SH to the turned wheels. The predetermined assist force is given to the transmission shaft from an assist force giving means to the operation of the steering wheel SH. The transmission shaft has a speed change mechanism CM capable of for performing the speed change associated with the axial movement of the steering wheel SH is provided on the transmission shaft.
