PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an additive for a rubber capable of imparting a good driving stability on a dry road surface and an excellent rolling resistance to a tire, a rubber composition containing the additive for a rubber, and a tire obtained by using the rubber composition as a member. SOLUTION: This additive for a rubber consists mainly of a polyester compound prepared by performing the polycondensation of (A) a diol monomer and (B) a dicarboxylic acid monomer containing a sulfide group expressed by general formula (1) [wherein, R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>are each a 1-9C alkane-diyl group or alkene-diyl group; and (x) is an integer of 2 to 8, showing the number of sulfur atoms] under a condition that the molar amount of the hydroxy group of (A) is an amount equal with or less than the molar amount of the carboxyl group in (B).
