A cooking device in which the setting of heating is facilitated in performing heating control according to a set temperature. The cooking device has a heating section (4) for heating an object, an operation section (8) having temperature setting switches (11, 12a, 12b) for setting heating temperatures, a temperature sensor (7) for detecting the temperature of the object, and a control section (5) for controlling the heating section so that the temperature detected by the temperature sensor agrees with a set temperature set by using the temperature setting switches. The control section automatically sets a cooking mode based on the set temperature.
