The cable is used to transmit high-frequency signals and comprises an inner conductor and an outer conductor, which is arranged substantially coaxially to the inner conductor. A dielectric is arranged between the inner conductor and the outer conductor. Both the inner conductor and the outer conductor are substantially made of a material substantially comprising copper. At least one of the conductors is made at least in some regions of a low-alloy copper alloy. The outer conductor is molded around the dielectric and subsequently mechanically deformed such that the dielectric is fixed relative to the outer conductor at least in some regions.
