<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a general-purpose method that effectively prevents embrittlements such as yellowing, reduction in strength of a polyester fiber and roughening and hardening of feeling which may occur in dry-heat setting of a fabric containing a polyester fiber, and retains excellent quality as a fabric. <P>SOLUTION: The method for pretreating a fabric before dyeing a fabric containing a polyester fiber includes providing a fabric with a treatment liquid containing a sulfonate, attaching 0.05-2.0 wt.% of the sulfonate to the fabric, and dry-heat setting the fabric. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
