<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrial process for producing 2-bromo-2,2- difluoroethanol useful as a synthetic intermediate of functional materials of medicines, agrichemicals, fluorine-containing polymers and the like, and to provide an industrial process for producing 2-alkylcarbonyloxy-1,1-difluoroethanesulfonic acid salt useful as a photo-acid generating agent used to chemically amplifiable resist material. <P>SOLUTION: 2-Bromo-2,2-difluoroethanol is obtained by reducing a bromodifluoroacetic acid derivative available at a low price by using an ate hydride complex. 2-Alkylcarbonyloxy-1,1-difluoroethanesulfonic acid salts are obtained by using the 2-bromo-2,2-difluoroethanol as the starting material and sequentially carrying out the esterification step, the sulfination step and the oxidation step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
