<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation-sensitive resin composition or the like for colored layer formation which, even with a high pigment concentration, is capable of forming a color filter free of occurrence of residues and scumming in a high product yield and is capable of forming a pattern having adequate surface smoothness. <P>SOLUTION: The radiation-sensitive resin composition for colored layer formation comprises: (A) at least one pigment selected from the group consisting of red pigments, green pigments and blue pigments; (B) a dispersant; (C) an alkali-soluble resin; (D) a specific polyfunctional (meth)acrylate; and (E) a photopolymerization initiator, wherein a content of the pigment (A) is 30-60 wt.% of a total solid content.
