<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sphygmomanometer capable of measuring blood pressure simply and accurately. <P>SOLUTION: This sphygmomanometer includes: a pressurizing section for applying pressure to a part of the human body; a pressure measuring section for measuring the applied pressure; a pulsation measuring section for measuring the pulsation waveform of a blood vessel in the part of the human body; a memory section for storing a plurality of reference pulsation waveforms, including the ones set in advance, with their blood pressure levels related with one another; and a control section for controlling pressure from the pressurizing section so that the pulsation waveform measured by the pulsation measuring section can correspond to the pre-set reference pulsation waveform. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
