PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of remodeling a kitchen door to which a new lower frame 3 is attached while attaching a lower frame 3 of a door frame of an existing sash, particularly for a kitchen door formed in a simple structure and easily constructed. SOLUTION: In this method of remodeling a kitchen door comprising a door frame in which a lower stage part 1a is installed one step lower on the outdoor side of the floor 1 at the kitchen door through a step 2 and an existing lower frame 3 is installed at the lower stage part 1a, a base member 12 having a first flat part 13 and a second flat part 14 vertically extending from the first flat part 13 and extending from the vertically extending part to the indoor side is disposed on the upper parts of the existing lower frame 3 and the upper part of the floor 1. The first flat part 13 is disposed on the upper part of the existing lower frame 3, and the second flat part 14 is disposed on the upper part of the floor 1. A new lower frame 9 forming a new door frame is placed on the base member 12. A downwardly extending part 18 projecting downward from the new lower frame 9 is brought into contact with the vertically extending part of the base member 12 from the outdoor side, and the new lower frame 9 and the base member 12 are secured to the floor 1 with screws from the upper side.
