PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an optically activeα-sulfonyloxycarboxylic acid amide derivative. SOLUTION: The production method comprises the reaction of anα-hydroxycarboxylic acid amide derivative with a sulfonic acid halide compound in the presence of an optically active oxazoline derivative, a copper salt and a base, and the separation of an optically activeα-sulfonyloxycarboxylic acid amide derivative expressed by formula (III) from the obtained reaction product. In the formula, R2is a 1-10C alkyl group, a 6-8C aryl group, a 7-10C aralkyl group or an allyl group; R3is an amino group; and R4is a 1-4C alkyl group or a 6-10C aryl group.
