PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveyance apparatus capable of surely correcting skewing by removing instability of the attitude of a sheet by using a common member and control to a various kinds of sheets different in weight, coefficient of friction, size and attitude. SOLUTION: Three skew rollers 70a, 70b and 70c are disposed near an abutment reference member 71. A pre-skew roller 12 is disposed on a conveyance center line on the upstream side of the skew roller 70a. A movable unit 11U is positioned to position the skew rollers 70a, 70b and 70c at an end of the sheet width to wait for a sheet. When a sheet conveyed in an arrow A direction by pre-registration conveyance rollers 73 and 74 reaches the skew roller 70a, the pre-registration conveyance rollers 73 and 74 move upward to release a nip, and at the same time, the pre-skew roller 12 moves downward to start conveyance of the sheet.
