PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent notification to a monitoring center due to an operation of an interphone button in a car by mischief or a mistake. SOLUTION: In the car 1 of an elevator, a monitoring camera 2 for photographing the inside of the car 1, a display 4 in the car 1 for providing passengers in the car 1 with information and the interphone button 5 to be operated for notification to the outside by passengers in the car 1 are installed. When video images photographed by the monitoring camera 2 are recorded and a prescribed operation for external notification is performed for the interphone button 5, the video images photographed by the monitoring camera 2 for a prescribed period before operating the interphone button 5 are reproduced and displayed on the display 4 in the car before enforcing the notification to the outside.
