Classes 44 and 89(1) An article 12, such as a name-plate or trim-strip from which extends a stud 16, is attached to an apertured-support 14 by fastener-means comprising two integral leg-portions 22, 24, the leg-portion 22 lying within an elongated-slot 20 in the stud 16 and being located therein by a tongue 28 which engages the side-wall of the slot, and the leg-portion 24 being resiliently-displaceable towards the stud 16, and having shoulder-means 26 extending away from the stud 16 for snapping engagement with an aperture in the support 14. In the example, the leg-portion 22 is provided with two tongues 28 which are adapted to bite into the wallsurface of the slot 20 to prevent retraction of the leg-portion. A locking-tab 32 is provided at the shoulder 26 to lock the fastener-means to the panel 14 when it has been snapped into place. In a modification, (Figs. 7, 8, not shown), the stud 16 having an elongated-slot is replaced by a pair of spaced-apart stud-portions provided with opposed-slots to receive the side-edges of the arm 22. |
