The danger area monitoring method involves capturing danger area pictures of a danger area (18). The danger area pictures are conveyed to a rail vehicle (38) that is located in a predetermined distance from the danger area. The pictures of the danger area are shown in a cab (52) of the rail vehicle. A position of the rail vehicle is determined. A radio signal is sent for coding the rail vehicle position when required. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a rail vehicle with a radio communication device; and (2) a railroad overpass monitoring device.
