The exchanger has a collecting pipe communicating with a set of pipes, where the collecting pipe is fastened to connecting flanges (6, 7) that comprise a set of retaining ribs, respectively. The connecting flanges are arranged with respect to the collecting pipe. The retaining ribs of the connecting flange (6) have longitudinal sides that extend in longitudinal direction of the pipes. The connecting flanges have a connection bore hole that is arranged parallel to the retaining ribs. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement for attachment of a heat exchanger in a carrier part of a coolant cooler.
