The plug (1) has a head part (7) comprising a vent hole (12) extending from an exhaust port (11) of the head part to an axial end of a screw element (6). The screw element is provided with an injection seal (15), which has a sealing ring (16), where the sealing ring is enclosed by press elements (17, 18) at front sides. The press element (17) is provided with an internal thread (17a), which cooperates with an external thread (6a) of the screw element to move the press elements axially against each other such that the sealing ring bends outwards. An independent claim is also included for a method for sealing an open end of a tube of a gas line.
