The holder has connection contacts (3) provided at a longitudinal side (4) for connecting an electronic device i.e. mobile telephone (1), to an onboard supply system of a motor vehicle. A contact adapter engages counter contacts so as to make contact with the connection contacts. The adapter has external contacts, which are electrically connected to the counter contacts, and are arranged at a front side (5) of the electronic device. The electronic device is insertable into a retainer device by contacting the external contacts with the corresponding counter contacts.
