The valve has shaft arranged coaxial to each other by a disk (2) rotatably arranged in a housing (1), where the shaft has an operating end part (4) and a bearing shaft. The disk has insert openings for ends of shafts, where the openings are adjustable according to shape and dimension of ends of shafts. The ends and/or the openings are coated with a bonding material i.e. self-flowing alloy consisting of nickel, chromium, boron and silicon, for fusibly connecting the surfaces of ends and the openings. The bonding material is a component of enamel bonding agent. An independent claim is also included for a method for connecting a disk of a shut-off valve to a shaft.
