<p>#CMT# #/CMT# An automotive oil or fuel filter has a housing with a first thread, a tickover duct, and a filter cover with a second thread for attachment to the housing. The filter has a filter by-pass valve that operates in the event of excessive pressure loss when liquid passes through the filter medium. The filter further has a bayonet fixture, a filter element with filter medium and a second bayonet fixture for attachment of the filter insert to the filter housing lid.
