SEEK CONTROL APPARATUS AND GENERATING METHOD OF CONTROL DATA FOR SEEK CONTROL

A seek control apparatus and a control data producing method for seek control are provided to reduce response deterioration in the settling of short seek control by including an instruction unit transferring a correction standard position instruction to a seek unit. A seek control apparatus comprises: a seek unit moving a head, performing record playback of the information, to the target track; a position detection unit detecting the location of the head; a first storage unit storing goal orbit data maintaining the target position of the head at sample time; a second storage unit storing acceleration data maintaining acceleration which is supplied for the head at the sample time; an error detecting unit detecting the obtained target position and error compared with the location detected by the position detection unit; a feedback controller(203) calculating the standard location instruction from the error detected by the error detecting unit; an acceleration addition unit adding the obtained acceleration to the standard location instruction and producing the correction standard location instruction; and an instruction unit applying the correction standard location instruction to the seek unit.
