METHOD FOR PRODUCING beta-DICARBONYL COMPOUND DERIVATIVE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a β-dicarbonyl compound derivative by using easily available raw materials and an inexpensive catalyst in a short reaction time while hardly forming a compound having problems on the environment such as a halogen compound and a carboxylic acid salt.

SOLUTION: The method for producing the β-dicarbonyl compound derivative includes reacting an alcohol having a phenyl group in the molecule or 2-cyclohexenyl alcohol with a β-dicarbonyl compound in the presence of a catalyst containing a 3-5d transition element or indium while heating the reaction mixture with microwave radiation.
