<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a hot-plug signal from being supplied to a source device's hot-plug line, when a 5V power supply line is not conducted to a source device's 5V power supply line. <P>SOLUTION: In an output control section 19, when a 5V power supply line 17a is not conducted to a 5V power supply line of a DVD player 20, a voltage obtained by dividing a 5V power supply voltage, supplied from a DDC line 26 to a DDC line 16a by resistors R1 and R2a, is supplied to a collector of a transistor Q1a and the transistor Q1a goes into an OFF state. A control signal is not input to a 5V power supply section 12, whereby the 5V power supply voltage is held back from being supplied from the 5V power supply section 12 to a 5V power supply line 37 of a display device 30.
