PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment having an excellent light fastness, coloring a polymer as transparent and without having the elution of the pigment or color transfer after coloration. SOLUTION: This azo pigment has a polymerizable functional group expressed by general formula (1) [wherein, X is an atomic group required for the formation of a substituted or non-substituted naphthalene ring or benzocarbazole ring by fusing it with a benzene ring; Y is H, a halogen atom or an atomic group selected from a 1-5C alkyl and a 1-5C alkoxy; Z is a polymerizable atomic group selected from any of the groups shown in the specification; A is a substituted or non-substituted aromatic residue bonded with an azo group; and n is 1, 2 or 3].
