PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device, an imaging method and a program which can capture a subject accurately, when the subject is photographed by making the imaging face rotate. SOLUTION: The imaging device displays a photographed image of the subject of which image is formed on the photographed face of an imaging element, on a display screen of a display part. The imaging device comprises an angle-detecting part 114 for detecting the angle of inclination of the photographed face of the imaging element, with respect to a horizontal reference perpendicular to the direction of gravity about a predetermined reference point, on a plane where the photographic direction of the subject is a normal line, at a position where the device body is held at photographing; and a display control part 120 for producing a predetermined index mark image, obtained by making the reference point rotate with respect to the photographed image by an angle about the reference point, based on angular information which is a detection result by the angle-detecting part to overlap the photographed image concerned with the display screen of the display part for displaying.
