PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present a guidance information about an area around a target destination during navigation of a route. SOLUTION: A present position input section 2 determines a present position of a vehicle. A target destination input section 3 receives an input of a target destination operated by a user. A guiding route setting section 4 computes a route from the present position to the target destination by referencing a map information database 5 and performs guiding of the route on the basis of the computed route. A guiding information extracting section 6 extracts guiding information of a position residing within a prescribed range from the target destination by referencing the map information database 5. A presentation determining section 7 determines whether or not the guiding information extracted by the guiding information extracting section 6 is to be presented to the user while the guiding route setting section 4 performs the guiding of the route. When it is determined that the guiding information is to be presented to the user, the presentation determining section 7 outputs the guiding information to a presentation section 8 to present it to the user.
