A side trimmer knife cleaning device is provided to rapidly clean a polluted knife with a resin layer coated on the surface of a cold rolled strip. A side trimmer knife cleaning device comprises: a working cylinder(210) fixed on the upper side of a gear-box(110) having the finishing coat knife(100) for the side trimming; an operation plate(220) fixed to a rod of the working cylinder; a guiding rod(230) fixed on the upper side of gear-box; a drive motor(250) of fixed on an operation plate; a reel(260) fixed to an rotary shaft of the drive motor; a rod(270) connected to the rotary shaft; a guide reel(280) installed at the rotary shaft; and a sandpaper(290) wound via the guide reel and the reel.
