DISC CLEANING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DISK DRIVE

A disc cleaning apparatus of a disk drive and a method thereof are provided to clean a whole signal recording surface by inserting a disc with being rotated at the same time when a spindle motor with a brush is rotated. A disc cleaning apparatus of a disk drive comprises: a case(20); a spindle motor(26) which is pivotally installed inside the case and which provides power for rotating the disc and which is equipped with a brush(34) for cleaning the signal recording surface of the disc in the upper side and which rotates in a disc inserting process; and a rotating unit being installed inside the case and rotating the disc in the disc inserting process.
