A camera module is provided to remove a noise in moving a voice coil up and down and being collided with the camera module by using an automatic focus algorithm. A lens unit(110) of the camera module(100) moves from the lowest step and the highest step. An image sensor unit(120) converts a light passed through the lens unit into an electric signal. A lens drive part(130) controls the movement of the lens by corresponding to an input signal. A controller(140) produces a driving signal to move the lens from lowest step to highest step and determine a best focus by using a signal through the image sensor.
