摘要 A trans-reflective LCD device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to obtain a phase retardation value higher than that of an existing QWP(Quarter Wave Plate) by realizing a lambda/4 QWP through the LTN(Low Twisted Nematic) liquid crystal and realizing the single gamma through the adjustment for the electrode angles of a reflecting part and transmission part. An array substrate(110) is divided into a reflecting part(R) and a transmission part(T). A gate line(116) and a data line(117) define a pixel area by being arranged lengthwise and crosswise on the array substrate. A thin film transistor is formed at a cross region of the data line and gate line. A common electrode(108), which has a plurality of slits(108s,108s') for generating the fringe field to drive the liquid crystal, and a pixel electrode(118) of the box type, and a reflective electrode(118') are formed in the pixel area.
