<p>The printer (1) has an interface for a data processing unit that controls a point-of-sale system. Printer commands and printing data are transmitted via the data processing unit. A memory for storing of voucher data that is to be printed. The processing unit is designed in a form of microcomputer, and an input unit i.e. key button (2), is manually operated by a person. The manual operation of the input unit initiates printing process of the voucher data. The data processing unit disconnects or activates the input unit after a presettable time according to content of the voucher. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a printer of a point-of-sale printer.</p> |
