NETWORK-BASED MOBILITY MANAGEMENT METHOD IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A network-based mobility providing method in a mobile communication system is provided to supply network-based mobility by efficiently trigger a PMIP6 process when initial access of a terminal or handover between ASN-GWs. An anchor ASN-GW(Access Service Network-GateWay) performs a pre-provisioned service flow setting procedure based on a registration completion message(S103). An authenticator anchor ASN-GW transmits a message requesting an anchor MM(Mobility Management) context to an anchor authenticator entity(S104). The anchor ASN-GW receiving the anchor MM context checks mobility mode information of an MS included in the anchor MM context. It is determined whether to perform a PMIP6 procedure(S106). Network-based mobility is provided to the terminal through a proxy mobile IP procedure based on the anchor MM context.
