PHYSICAL PHANTOM FOR CORRECTING CENTRAL AXIS SHIFT OF X-RAY COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY AND METHOD FOR CORRECTING ROTATION CENTER USING THE SAME

A physical phantom for correcting a central axis shift of an X-ray CT apparatus and a correcting method using the same are provided to obtain a clear three dimensional image by removing a blurring phenomenon due to a vertical or horizontal of the central axis. A physical phantom(100) includes an external cylinder(110) and an internal cylinder(120). The external cylinder has a first diameter and a first height. The central line of the internal cylinder coincides with the central line of the external cylinder. The internal cylinder has a second diameter and a second height. The second diameter is smaller than the first diameter. The second height is lower than the first height. The internal cylinder is inserted into the external cylinder. The X-ray transmittance of the internal cylinder is lower than the X-ray transmittance of the external cylinder. The internal cylinder is made of aluminum or teflon. The external cylinder is made of acrylic plastic.
