An optical cleaning device 10 comprises two substantially identical cleaning pads 11 joined flexibly in the middle 12, one respective side of each of said pads 11 having an optical cleaning material 14 thereon, the device being adapted such that it may be folded about its middle 12 so that the two cleaning faces 14 contact one another. Preferably the pads are ovoid with back faces of a high friction material perhaps with a raised surface pattern. A clasp such as a magnetic clasp may hold the device in its folded position when not in use and there may be a loop 15 for a key ring 17. Preferably the device may further include a cover or shroud with an arrangement for the attachment of a restraining strap (Figure 4). The cover may further comprise a resilient material with a squeezable resilient opening. |
