A media object processing apparatus in a media player and a method thereof are provided to process the media object in contents playback on a real time basis in the media player by processing the media object through a rendering map. A media object processing method in a media player comprises: a step(402) producing a rendering map for controlling the domain of a media object at a rendering interface according to time; a step(404) receiving user input through the rendering interface; a step(406) renewing the rendering map based on the user input; a step(408) reproducing the scene based on the updated rendering map; and a step(410) rendering the media object according to the reproduced scene.
