A linear compressor is provided to improve freedom in design and reduce noise by employing an injection molded plastic intake muffler. A linear compressor comprises a cylinder having a refrigerant compression space, a piston which compresses the refrigerant while reciprocating inside the cylinder, and an intake muffler assembly(300) guiding the refrigerant flow into the piston. The intake muffler assembly is made of plastic material by injection molding, including a first and a second case(301a,301b). The first and the second case are divided about the plane including the central axis, and joined by hooks(310) formed on the corresponding portions of the first and the second case.
