Detecting hazardous chemicals in an environment using a conductive polymer chemical fuse

A remote monitoring device incorporating a conductive polymer fuse capable of detecting chemical contamination or hazardous chemicals within environments local to potential leak sites. The invention is tuneable to different chemicals (specific contaminants) and with changeable sensitivity, easy to fit and simple to use, with an audible/visual alarm, which can also be sent via SMS to remote monitoring stations.
