An apparatus for image conversation and a method thereof for sending and receiving audio data are provided to perform the video call sending and receive audio data to the high quality according to the standard standards for telecommunication through PSTN. A PSTN(Public Switched Telephone Network) interface(220) sends and receives audio data. Image call request/approval message generating parts(242,244) produce the image call origination message based on the information relating to the PSTN number of opponent apparatus ' sending and receives audio data according to H.323 or the SIP(Session Initiation Protocol). An IPN(Internet Protocol Network) interface(250) transmits the image call origination message. The IPN interface receives the acknowledge message about the image call origination message. The IPN interface sends and receives video data. |
