Method of cold-starting an internal combustion engine

The method involves measuring a quantity of fuel e.g. low reid vapor pressure fuel, in a fuel reservoir, and adapting the quantity of fuel injected into an engine cylinder based on capacity of vaporizing of the fuel. The vaporizing capacity of the fuel present in the reservoir before filling of the reservoir by the fuel is estimated based on capacity of vaporizing of the fuel before filling and a reference fuel vaporizing capacity. The fuel vaporizing capacity present in the reservoir before filling of the reservoir is used to start the engine posterior to filling the reservoir.
