Measuring system, in particular for measuring grooves

The device has a measuring unit for measuring a compressed air parameter e.g. pressure. An evaluation unit determines distance between a measuring head (5) and a measured object based on change in the measured parameter. The measuring head is movable between an initial position and a measurement position. A path measuring unit measures a path that backwardly extends from the measuring head between the initial position and the measurement position. A compressed air supply unit has an outlet and a compressed air channel. An independent claim is also included for a method for pneumatic linear measurement.
