A cooling apparatus for a liquid packaging container is provided to cool the whole liquid contained in the liquid packaging container by cooling only the placed surface of the container. A cooling apparatus for a liquid packaging container a casing(2) in which a liquid packaging container(P) containing liquid is placed; a heat exchange unit including a compressor(20) which compresses refrigerant to the high temperature and high pressure, a condenser(22) which makes compressed refrigerant into the liquid phase, and an expansion valve(24) which lowers the pressure of the refrigerant delivered from the condenser to help the evaporation of the refrigerant; and a cooling unit cooling the outlet side of the liquid packaging container with the refrigerant delivered from the expansion valve of the heat exchange unit.
