Printhead assembly having laminated printing fluid distributors

A printhead assembly is provided having a printhead laminated to a plurality of adjacently arranged structures. The printhead has a plurality of nozzles each having an inlet for supplying printing fluid to the nozzle and a heater element configured to heat the printing fluid to form a gas bubble thereby causing ejection of a drop of the printing fluid from the nozzle. The structures include a plurality of passages distributing the printing fluid to the inlets of the printhead from openings connected to a supply of the printing fluid. The openings are substantially larger than the inlets. Each structure is generally planar with elongate apertures to the passages on at least one side. The long dimension of the elongate apertures in the abutting sides of adjacent structures are angled relative to each other.
