FUEL CELL STACK HAVING SURFACE PRESSURE ADJUSTING DEVICE WITH AN ELASTIC STRUCTURE

A fuel cell stack equipped with a surface-pressure adjusting device is provided to maintain high surface pressure without increase in volume and weight of the fuel cell stack, thereby maximizing thermal performance while minimizing the volume and weight of the fuel cell stack. A fuel cell stack comprises; a pair of end plates(203) arranged to face each other; a current generator generating electric current through an electrochemical reaction of reaction materials while arranged between the pair of end plates; a pair of bipolar plates(202) which is closely located to the current generator in order to form a flow channel(202a) for the reaction materials; and a surface-pressure adjusting device(204) having an elastic structure, which is located on one surface or both surfaces of the end plates so as to maintain the surface pressure of the fuel cell stack.
