The present invention provides novel peptidomimetics, of formula (I): A-Z1-Z2-Z3-Z4-Z_{5-Z6-Z7-Z8-Z9 -Z10-Z11-B, which primarily act as glucose dependent insulin secretagogues. Furthermore, it was found that these peptidomimetics showed glucagon receptor antagonistic activity, along with the GLP-1 receptor agonistic activity.}
