METHOD OF ELECTROPUNCTURE REFLEXOTHERAPY OF PATIENTS SUFFERING FROM ALCOHOLIC ABSTINENCE SYNDROME

The invention relates to medicine, in particular to narcology and can be used in the treatment of alcoholic abstinence syndrome (AAS) and to suppress a pathologic drive to alcohol. The claimed invention is aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the AAS treatment using simultaneous reduction of somatovegetative, asthenovegetative and psychoneurological disorders. The disclosed invention is characterized in that a method of electropuncture reflexotherapy of the AAS by affecting upon projection of auricular and corporal acupuncture points with AC low-frequency current, by neuro-like pulses transdermally in several stages: at first current strength is adjusted, then affecting upon the auricular acupuncture points varying frequency, further affecting upon the auricular acupuncture points of generally-regulating influence, further affecting upon the corporal acupuncture points of desintoxication, stabilization of nervous vegetative system and regulation of the viscera main functions, wherein the frequency is varied between 1 to 125 Hz. The method enhances the treatment effectiveness and shortens its duration, considerably reduces psychopharmo-dependence of patients and decreases medicament cost up to 50%. The method is sufficiently simple, atraumatic, accessible, can be used by patients having contraindications to medicamental therapy and other traditional non-medicamental methods. So it permits to recommend the claimed method and the device therefor for non-medicamental reduction and for preventing AAS recurrence as the only method, as well as, if the necessity arises, in combination it with a standard therapy.
