Up and down type post is provided to conveniently perform maintenance and repair of an unit supported by an elevating bracket by easily up and down the elevating bracket on the post. An elevation rail type auxiliary post(120) is installed at one side of the main post(110). An elevating bracket(130) comprises an elevating base, a monitoring camera, and a driving unit. The elevating base is directly combined in the elevation rail type auxiliary post. The monitoring camera is mounted on the top of the elevating base. The driving unit circulates the monitoring camera to up and down, right and left angle. A winch unit(140) has a cabinet installed at the lower part of the post. The winch with a winding rope is installed inside the cabinet. The winch is delivered the rotation power through a chain connection to a decelerator. A cable(150) is installed to the middle portion height of the post through a hollow interior of the post. The cable is installed to be exposed from the middle portion.
